CALC@HEI
CALC@HEI is the research computing infrastructure of HEI — currently two GPU compute nodes, Chacha (2× NVIDIA H100) and Disco (2× NVIDIA A100), scheduled through SLURM.
Governance
CALC@HEI is getting its own governance, distinct from the ISC³ teaching datacenter. During the transition it is still operated by the ISC staff and documented here; this whole section is designed to move to its own site once the new governance is in place (see PHASE2-CALC-EXTRACTION.md in the repository).
Students keep using ISC³ (Calypso, Rumba) — nothing changes for them.
Where to go
- Using CALC@HEI — requesting access, connecting, submitting jobs, storage
- Chacha and Disco — the machines themselves
- SLURM configuration — partitions, accounts, QOS
- Operations — user management, admin scripts and open points (staff only)
