Requesting access

The CALC@HEI computing resources are managed by Prof. Dr. Pierre-André Mudry.

If you need access, contact the staff. Once your request has been received, we will either provide you with access immediately or organize a meeting to discuss any specific requirements you might have.

What to prepare​

To speed things up, have the following ready:

  • Username : firstname.lastname (generally the part in front of your @hevs.ch email address)
  • SSH public key — access is key-based, there are no passwords
  • Project name — the project or course your work belongs to

What you get​

  • An account on the research servers (Chacha and Disco), with a SLURM account tied to your project and quotas on the filesystems
  • If you need the student sandbox (Calypso) or the teachers infrastructure (Rumba) on ISC³, a Wireguard VPN configuration file
